Dead Fish Clean Up

The cold weather in January precipitated a fish kill of the tilapia, as the fish are vulnerable to temperatures below 50F. The ones that weren’t killed outright were weakened and will continue to die off for the next several weeks. This may be extended by further cold weather reducing the lake temperatures. Lake Pros is seeing similar occurrences all over the County.

Additionally, the Harris County Flood Control District is performing construction work downstream and has temporarily blocked the flow of water out of the basins, reducing circulation and causing the dead fish to collect at the north end.

Lake Pros will continue to make extra cleanup trips as long as the situation continues.

National Night Out

Along with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Cypress Creek Fire Department and Cypress Creek EMS, National Night Out is sponsored annually by H.C. Mud 230 for the residents of the subdivisions located in the District.
